Volunteer with It’s the Little Things
Give yourself a happiness boost and help us make everybody’s actions count for the planet. Research shows that participating in a community organization or club one night a month gives people the same happiness boost as earning an additional $100,000 per year (assuming basic needs are met).
Find the volunteer opportunity that’s a fit for you and sign up to volunteer. We provide education and leadership training sessions. Leadership training session dates to be announced or contact us to request a session.

Lead a My Actions Count Group. Research shows that individuals are more likely to follow through on behavior changes if they publicly commit in writing to change. June, we stop buying bottled water forever. July, we start using reuseable bags exclusively. August, we start composting our food, paper, and garden waste... Intern with It’s the Little Things
Research and Data Analyst Intern
Assure the integrity of sustainability impact data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis. Collect and collate appropriate data for use in databases and conducting related research. Analyze official and program data with standard statistical methods, interpret the results, and provide written summary of data analyses. Conduct research to build database of sources for sustainable products and work with the Social Media Intern to design a user friendly presentation of the research results for the website. Participate in ongoing decisions concerning data collection, study design, methodology, and data analysis, including the development of sustainability impacts. Contact us to learn more.
Videographer Intern
Develop story/program concepts, plan story line, and write script. Schedule production, camera, and editing time and make sure appropriate equipment is available. Film and edit videos. Consult with President and other board members to create a social media strategy. Maintain and develop content for website. Conduct search engine optimization. Monitor, log, and analyze social media data, including number of Facebook and Twitter Users and Blog followers. Enact measures to increase number of Users and Likes.
